  This is what's in the News for Wednesday, August 25th. The Wall Street Journal reports that The SEC is charging two bankers with insider trading following BHP Billiton's (BHP) $40B bid for Potash (POT). The head of a research arm at Banco Santander (STD), the Spanish bank advising BHP on its bid, and an accomplice from Spain allegedly purchased $61000 worth of Potash call options, which they then sold for $1.1M after the deal was announced...Also in the Journal, FedEx (FDX) is reportedly looking to block a probe by Andrew Cuomo, New York's Attorney General, into the company's policies regarding the declared value of shipped items and its liability limits for the shipments....the Associated Press reports That an exclusive deal for e-books between Amazon (AMZN), the Wylie Agency and Random House is no longer exclusive. Wylie and Random House say several of their works are being removed from the program, and instead Random House says it will publish the books on a "non-exclusive" basis...And finally, Reuters reports that Time Warner (TWX) is reportedly close to a deal to acquire Chilevision, which is owned by Chile President Sebastian Pinera. A source familiar with the deal, which is said to be for about $150M, said it could close "soon".
