Deadline: Hollywood is reporting mystery author Walter Mosley and Jonathan Demme ( The Silence of the Lambs , The Manchurian Candidate ) will co-write a pilot for HBO based on The Long Fall , Mosley’s 2009 novel that introduces series character Leonid McGill, a private investigator in New York City.
