Lift Elevator repair in elevator li...Lift Elevator repair at a Train Station in Sydney. It had just been raining heavily and water leaking into shaft. Its an outdoor lift installation with glass windows. The rain water was leaking through the window rubber seal. This caused the RCD or ELCB to trip out. I had to isolate the circuitry so I could bring the lift down to position and view what was going on. I managed to dry up the water and then stick on some insulation tape underside of electrical contact switches so as to reduce any electrical tracking from live contact to earth.

This elevator serves a "Middle Level" and the public elevator does not. I think that the middle level is storage, but when the doors opened it was a repair sho, alteration, or something.
